Archives and Manuscripts Finding Aid Database

About

This Finding Aid Database can assist you in searching across the Amistad Research Center’s (ARC) archives and manuscripts collections. A finding aid is a guide to archival records, personal papers, or manuscripts collections held in ARC’s repository. The finding aid or resource record will provide information about the origin, size, contents, topics and organization of the collections. To search, use the "Search the Collections" fields or select the Collections, Subjects, or Names tabs above. To request materials for on-site use of the collections found on the ARC Finding Aid Database, send a request directly from the database or contact the Research Services Department directly for more information at reference@amistadresearchcenter.org or (504) 862-3222.

Additional resources

Through the Amistad Research Center’s partnership with Tulane University, ARC’s books, serials and newspapers in our library collection are catalogued as part of Tulane University’s library catalog, and can be found using Library Search. Our digital collections are hosted in the Louisiana Digital Library through the Tulane University Digital Library portal.
