Flint, Prosper L. collection

 Collection
Identifier: 453

Scope and Contents

Amounting to only 0.2 linear feet, the Prosper Flint collection consists of twenty-nine individual photographs, including tintypes, cabinet cards, three photograph album pages, and a pencil and ink drawing. None of the individuals depicted are identified, but they are likely members and friends of the Flint and Armant families of New Orleans, Louisiana. The photographs do not feature dates, but the collection most likely dates back to circa 1880s-1910s. The Flints and Armants were creoles and this collection provides insight into the lives of black creoles in New Orleans.
