Herbert L. Seamans papers
Scope and Contents
The papers of Herbert L. Seamans mainly consist of manuscripts of his writings for articles, presentation papers and speeches (1939-1956) regarding intergroup and human relations education. Much of his writings were produced during his time as Director of the Commission on Education Organizations of the National Conference of Christians and Jews (NCCJ) and as Director of Intergroup Education Workshops at the School of Education at Stanford University. The small amount of correspondence within the collection mainly focuses on announcements for the Stanford University summer workshops. Photographs within the collection also related to Seamans' work at the NCCJ and Stanford University. Lastly, of interest are his term papers written during his graduate studies at Yale University (1927-1928) and Stanford University (1937-1938).
