Vivian Ellis papers
The papers of New Orleans-born, self-taught artist Vivian Ellis include catalogs, posters, brochures and other printed ephemera about exhibits, both individual and group, in which Ellis has been included. Most of the items are in German, and many of the exhibits opened in Germany where the artist resides and works as a military nurse. Additional materials include photographs of Ellis' father, Reverend Aaron Ellis, former pastor of the Greater Rose Hill Baptist Church in New Orleans

Amma Ghartey-Tagoe collection
This collection includes a videotape recording of Amma Ghartey-Tagoe's award-winning National History Day performance of the Amistad Incident in which she narrated the story as a descendent of the Amistad Africans. Also included is a copy of the article she wrote for National History Day News in which she related how she developed her project, and a copy of Kansas Heritage with an article on her and her presentation.

Robert Sylvester Green I was an amateur New Orleans photographer during the 1950s-1970s. He was also a member of the International Longshoremen's Association. This collection consists of photographs, negatives, and film that document New Orleans life and culture in the 20th century. Subjects include Mardi Gras Balls, Xavier University (New Orleans) and Dillard football games, Ebony Fashion Fair, and Green family gatherings.
Guardians of the Flame collection
The Guardians of the Flame is a Mardi Gras Indian Tribe in New Orleans, Louisiana, that was formed in 1988 and made its debut on February 7, 1989. The founding Big Chief of the tribe was Donald Harrison Sr. The collection includes a booklet about the group, a poster of Donald Harrison Jr, an audiocassette by Harrison Jr. entitled "Indian Blues," and a videocassette documentary about the tribe.
