Historical Note

Organized in 1959, the New Orleans Old Timers Baseball Club was founded to promote the history of the Negro Leagues and the often forgotten histories of individual players. Walter Wright served as founder and president of the club and was formerly a pitcher for the New Orleans Black Pelicans.
