Biographical Statement

Brent Taylor Pendleton, biology teacher and civic leader, was born on June 22, 1906, in Winchester, Kentucky, to George and Cornelia Pendleton. He graduated from Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama, in 1926. He taught biology and Industrial arts for over twenty years at Wayne High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pendleton also served as President of the School Men’s Club of Greater Cincinnati. His first wife, Gaundzale Bell Pendleton, died in 1935, and Pendleton remarried Louella Tolliver a few years later. Pendleton died on May 29, 1976, in Cincinnati.
