Scope and Contents
This series contains articles and other works written about Chester Himes, as well as adaptations of his work, news clippings, and collected materials. Of note are drafts of a screenplay entitled "The Lunatic Fringe" by Caroline Ducrocq, which was based on Chester Himes' life and writing; drafts of Michel Fabre and Edward Margolies' biography of Himes entitled The Several Lives of Chester Himes; as well as promotional material related to the film A Rage in Harlem.
