Scope and Contents
This series includes collected newspaper and magazine clippings, as well as publications that include articles on Harold Battiste, A.F.O. Records, and/or musicians associated with Battiste, such as Dr. John and Sonny and Cher. Also present are materials related to an exhibition entitled "There is Something You Should Know, an Exhibit of the Private Collection of Harold Battiste, Jr." held April 29-June 10, 2006, at the Ashe Cultural Arts Center in New Orleans. The exhibition materials include original collages by New Orleans artist Jeffrey Cook. The series encompasses 2.38 linear feet; oversize material is housed in box 26.
