Box 27

This series documents the DOC's activities throughout the Mississippi Delta. The Corporation was founded as a part of the Delta Ministry in 1965, and some records relate to the Ministry's activities. Principal correspondents are Joseph Harris, Clarence Hall Jr., and Thelma Barnes. The DOC was primarily responsible for developing economic and educational programs in Sunflower County and the surrounding area. There are also applications filed with the DOC from persons interested in its adult education, employment, and tuition support programs.
