Scope and Contents
The photographs contained within the collection document individual lodge members and groups, many of which were used for Masonic publications. There is a rich array of 19th and early 20th century portraiture within the records and represent a variety of professional photographers and studios within the State of Louisiana, such as Roy B. Moss, E.M. Robinson, John H. Williams, Nolan A. Marshal, James Soler, Walter Allen Studio (Minden), Brennan's Studio (New Orleans), Kerr's Studio (Natchitoches), and Uhrbach's Studio (Natchitoches).
Of note are images of the Natchitoches Parish Training School (1911-1940s) and prints of images of the City of Natchitoches from the late 19th century. Also of note are portraits of Grand Masters John Parsons, C.F. Ladd, John G. Lewis, Sr., Scott A. Lewis, and John G. Lewis Jr. The photographs are arranged in alphabetical order by personage, photographer, or topic.
