The Africa Fund compiled research regarding corporate involvement in southern Africa. The research files are arranged in two groupings: the first by topic and the second by company name. Of note are extensive lists of U.S. corporations involved in Africa, including AT&T, Avis, Bank of America, Barclays, BASF, Chevron, Citicorp, Coca Cola, Consolidated Gold Fields, Control Data, Eastman Kodak, Engelhard, Exxon, Ford, General Motors, Gulf Oil, IBM, International Signal & Control, Lonrho Corporation, Newmont Mining, Polaroid, Shell, Space Research, Texaco, and Unilever.

Materials collected by the Africa Fund about these corporations include annual reports, correspondence, clippings, and responses to questionnaires sent out by The Africa Fund. Subjects include advertising, divestment and protest campaigns, finances, and corporate ethics.
