The reports in the collection vary in significance and include some internal reports of the Human Rights Committee, as well as external reports made by cooperating civil rights groups. Among them are "An Evaluation of the Los Angeles Commission on Human Relations;" a series of Camp Hess Kramer Reports discussing the problems of human relations; "Daily Contact Reports" of the Los Angeles Commission on Human Relations (compilation of evidence of racial discrimination in the years of 1959 to 1961; a "Smog Report;" "Anti-Semitism in Los Angeles County;" a report on the "1961 Memorial Day Disturbance in Los Angeles;" and a "Report on Discrimination in Children's Institutions." The section of the collection entitled "General Reports" is arranged chronologically and consists of an unsystematic selection of one-page in-house reports concerning the work of the Los Angeles County civil rights bureaucracy. Some examples are: "Complaints of Discrimination in Employment;" "Report of Staff Activities;" "Financial Condition of the Human Rights Commission;" "Employee's Reports;" and more.
