The records consists of information concerning the Claiborne Branch of the YWCA in New Orleans, Louisiana. Fannie C. Williams served as an organizer, charter member, and first president of the African American or Claiborne Branch YWCA. The largest part of the collection (over 250 pieces) consists of photographs of YWCA activities, primarily from the 1950s and 1960s particularly for classes, clubs, conferences, and events.
