Miriam Simmons Keller papers

The Miriam Simmons Keller papers document her family and civic associations through photographs, newspaper clippings, programs, collected items, and other materials. Photographs include those depicting Keller, Rev. Abraham Simmons and his family, Edna E. Simmons, Anna Simmons Spotwood, Beecher Memorial United Church of Christ, Valena C. Jones School, Straight College, and Canal Street in New Orleans. A 1972 minute book of The Board of Christian Education and a 1936 yearbook for Valena C. Jones, as well as minutes and programs from Beecher Memorial.

The papers also include reports of the South Central Conference of the United Church of Christ for 1967 and 1968; reports and correspondence for Beecher Memroail United Church of Christ from 1959 to 1977; miscellaneous United Church of Christ conference programs and church bulletins; a 1969 sermon by Harvey Swanson entitled "It is Time - For Sanity, Decency and God - in Berkeley"; church directories; collected programs and sermons of Winston E. Waugh; the funeral program of Jean Childs Young; and collected church bulletins and other materials on the Mayflower Congregational Church in Detroit, the South Berkeley Community Church in California, and Central Congregational Church in New Orleans.
