Content Description
The original collection consists of six audio tapes containing addresses delivered by Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan during a three day visit to New Orleans in 1990 as part of his “Stop the Killing” tour. These include a press conference and talks presented to the Black Leadership Awareness Council and at the Municipal Auditorium and St. Theresa Catholic Church. The general theme is “black on black” crime. The collection also contains an audio tape of a 1990 address entitled “The Murder of Malcolm X”, as well as a compact disc of a presentation recorded May 3, 2004, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. and a DVD of a discussion with Farrakhan and Reverend Jesse Jackson entitled “It’s Nation Time.”
