Also included in the collection are alumni publications of Smith College. Additional materials include class photographs, a yearbook from Walter L. Cohen Sr. High, where Mrs. Augustine was an English teacher. Plaques and some correspondence are also included.

Biographical Note

Ms. Augustine was a graduate of Smith College School of Social Work. Professionally she was at one time supervisor of psychiatric social work on the staff at the In-Patient and Day Hospital Service of the Department of Psychiatry of Harlem Hospital. She also worked as a consultant in public health social work to the New York City Health Department, and as a supervisor in psychiatric social work at Larue Carter Memorial Hospital. Lastly she was a field instructor of second year students in the Division of Social Work of the Indiana University.
