Content Description

Joseph T. Vuong is a counselor who includes fellow Vietnamese students in Jefferson Parish public schools and refugees among his clients. This collection includes photocopies of typescripts regarding counseling and guidance of Vietnamese students, culture and the history of Vietnam. Items in this collection also include four issues of a Vietnamese publication, Day Ngoc Lan, published in New Orleans; a typescript of an interview with Thai Nguyen by Dung Tran and Linh Truong; and a handbill about a performance of traditional Vietnamese song and dance. The performers were members of the George Tech Vietnamese Association and performed at Tulane University on March 24, 1988.
