The Weeksville [New York] collection includes items collected and prepared by Dr. Marguerite Casanave Thompson, who served as facilitator for the Weeksville/Bank Street College Follow Through Resource Center. The collection documents the early history of a New York African American community in the early 1800s. The community took the name of James Weeks, a property holder in the area. The collection contains photocopies and includes correspondence, resource materials for teaching, and artifacts.
