Helen R. White collection
Content Description
The Helen R. White collection is comprised of theater playbills, clippings, concert programs and related ephemera pertaining to performing arts in Chicago. Included are programs for a production of Black Nativity by Langston Hughes; a concert by Leontyne Price; a concert by Pearl Bailey; a production of Martin Duberman's In White America; and a performance by The Singing Whites, comprised of soprano Helen R. White and Lewis V. White. Also included is a program for the 1968 debutante ball of The Chicago and Northern District Association of Club Women and Girls.
