Norman A. Holmes papers

This collection consists of scrapbooks and yearbooks donated by a former minister of Central Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Holmes was also a faculty member of Dillard University by whom he was honored upon his retirement in 1968 prior to his move to California. He and his wife received numerous tributes and were honorees at a testimonial. An album and scrapbook of letters document this event, and the two yearbooks include the 1957 issue that was dedicated to him. An earlier scrapbook containing information about Holmes, his ministerial caree, and community activities in New Orleans is also included in the collection.
