Naomi P. Turnley papers
Content Description
The papers of Naomi P. Turnley contain five photographs and biographical information regarding her father, community and religious leader Edward H. Phillips. The papers reflects Turnley's support of Dillard University and her membership at Beecher Memorial United Church of Christ in New Orleans, Louisiana. Turnley graduated from Dillard in 1955 and was a member of the university's alumni association. She served as First Chairperson on the alumni campaign committee, as well as coordinated the 125th Anniversary Commemorative calendar for Dillard. The collection contains materials and publications related to her work with alumni affairs, as well as three books on Congregational churches.
