Scope and Contents From the Collection: Arnold Richard Hirsch was a historian who taught at the University of New Orleans, where he served as Ethel and Herman L. Midlo Endowed Chair for New Orleans Studies. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Hirsch notably studied housing segregation in Chicago.
