Agenda, list and schedules, 1972-1973, undated

The church activities series is the largest portion of the Harvey papers, consisting of boxes 21-50. This series is arranged alphabetically by corporate body from the Amsterdam Conference of 1939 through the World Methodist Council. The largest section relates to Harvey's involvement with Church Women United (CWU), first as a member then rising through the ranks to the office of President. CWU correspondence dates from 1921 through 1987. Executive records of the organization include minutes, constitution, by-laws, reports, etc. Other committees represented in the records include finance, investment, personnel, public relations, and others. Some records pertain to the Board of Managers, which was composed of some 140 members who oversaw grants to women's projects, as well as the Board of Trustees and the Citizen Action Committee. CWU projects documented include the Fund for the Fifth Decade, Ecumenical Assembly, and Women in Prisons programs. Other records include financial records, reports, writings, speeches, prayers, information on various state chapters, and information on Harvey's world travels. Publications include The Church Women from 1966 through 1985, as well as miscellaneous publications from CWU.

Information also documents different religious organizations, such as the National Council of Churches, Religious Heritage of America, Gulfside Assembly, Gulfside Association, the Methodist Church, the United Methodist Church, the United Nation's Church Center, Unity of Jackson, Voice of Calvary, and the World Council of Churches. With this section are correspondence, minutes, memoranda, reports, financial records, and other organizational materials.
