Content Description

This collection consists of video and audio tape interviews of African American United Church of Christ clergy and laity documenting experiences with the Committee for Racial Justice NOW, the Ministers for Racial, Social, and Economic Justice, the Committee for Racial Justice, the United Black Christians, and the United Church of Christ. Interviewees include A. Knighton Stanley, Elder (MRSJ/MRSEJ), Dr. Shelby Rooks, Elder (MRSJ/MRSEJ), Reverend Leon White, Elder (CRJ/UBC/MRSJ/MRSEJ), Reverend Nicholas Hood II, elder and First Chair, Racial Justice NOW Committee, Dr. Bernice Powell Jackson (CRJ/UBC), and former UBC National Presidents. There are more than thirty individuals interviewed for this project organized by Pamela June Anderson, D. Min., MRSEJ, Vice President.
