Curtis Tucker, originally a painter, became interested in ceramics when he saw the work of his future wife Yvonne Edwards at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He was born in Austin, Texas, but raised in San Diego, California.  He passed in 1992 after working with his wife for over twenty years.
